The last month of winter has finished, so spring comes to us. As you know spring is light holiday when nature is awaking from winter sleep, when birds come back from the South, when everything begin to bloom and of course we have a lot of wonderful holidays in spring and the most important, not ordinary day among them is Mother’s Day, the day of our beloved Mothers.

Mother…This charming word is connected with the beginning of the life. It is the dearest word for every people. So it’s so pleasant to speak about you in such lovely day.

Spring : I am spring. People call me the season of hope and happiness. When I come, birds begin to build their nests and sing songs, green leaves appear and flowers begin to grow. My dear, friends, come here please to our party!

Lady Spring gave a party

The flowers by hundreds came

The snowdrops, lilies and daisies

And flowers of every name

The party was very pleasant

When in the beautiful glade

Snowdrop : I am first to come. I come when snow is on the ground, I have a white dress, and I have no smell. My name is Snowdrop.

Lily of the Valley: My name is Lily of the Valley. I think you all like my small white bells.

Daffodil: I come next. I am yellow like the sun. I like to dance in the wind, my name is daffodil. I am very proud of myself; I think that I’m the most beautiful flower.

Spring : Do you know the legend about daffodil? I’d like to retell it. (Legend about daffodil)

Many centuries ago there was a young boy, whose name was Narcissus. He was the son of the River God Keffis and lovely Nymphs. He was so beautiful that his beauty can compare with the beauty of Goddess Veneer. A lot of girls fall in love with him. But he didn’t answer them to this feeling. Echo loved him also very dearly, but he didn’t notice her. She suffered from such love and soon she was died, leaving her beautiful voice after her death.

Time came, but Narcissus heart staying lonely and empty. Nemesida decided to punish him. She predicted him a great love but without any reciprocity.

Once in a hot summer day he bent near the cold and clean stream he wanted to drink water, but suddenly he saw the reflection of himself in the mirror of the water. He was shocked, charmed and fall in love. He couldn’t sleep, eat. He could only enjoy the beauty of his own reflection, but his love was without any reciprocity. From this great sadness he died. And in this place where his soul left his body, a lovely but beautiful flower appeared. It was called Narcissus or Daffodil.

Оборудование: рисунки детей (портреты мам, сестёр, бабушек); сочинения- рассказы детей о своих мамах; цветы, шары, игрушки животных для игры “Где это?”.

Ход мероприятия

Праздник сопровождается музыкальными номерами, сценками, стихами. Ведущий праздника - учитель английского языка. Праздник проводится полностью на английском языке.

Учитель приветствует детей, их родителей и других гостей, и сообщает детям, что проводимое мероприятие посвящается празднику “ День 8 Марта”. Ученики оформляют классную комнату или зал шарами, цветами, рисунками (портретами своих мам, сестёр и бабушек), устраивают выставку сочинений- рассказов о мамах. Учащиеся по очереди рассказывают стихи и исполняют песни, выученные заранее. Длинные стихотворения разучивают и рассказывают несколько учеников по 4 строчки каждый. После исполнения художественных номеров учитель организует игры для детей и их родителей.

Учащиеся по очереди рассказывают стихи и исполняют песни, выученные заранее. Длинные стихотворения разучивают и рассказывают несколько учеников по 4 строчки каждый. После исполнения художественных номеров учитель организует игры для детей и их родителей.

Teacher: Good morning, dear boys and girls, teachers and parents! Today we shall have a lot of guests. They are our nearest and dearest. You can see your mothers here. I think you are glad to see them and they are happy to see you. We wish to congratulate you on the Mother’s Day!

Who scolds their children when they are naughty
Or reminds them of God when they are too haughty?
Who tends her family with love and patience, too?

Teacher: Very good! I think our boys and girls like to go to school and they are not sleepy heads. Dear guests! Our children have some more presents for their mothers. They prepared short plays about animals. Let’s watch them. One of them is “The Magic Box”.

(В берлоге сидят три медвежонка. Отец-медведь несёт телевизор.)

Son 1: Father, what have you got in that box? Honey?

Father: No, children! There is no honey in the box. It’s a magic box!

Son 2: Magic? Why?

Father: It’s a TV-set.

Son 3: What is it?

Father: But we have to move to our winter flat.

Учитель проводит игры с участием учеников и их родителей.

Игра “Где это?”

Ведущий(один из учеников) выходит за дверь. В это время его мама прячет предмет в комнате. Когда ведущий возвращается, остальные дети помогают ему найти предмет, давая инструкции на английском языке. Например : “ Go left!”, “Go right!”, “Hot!”, “Cold!”и т. д.

Игра “Мы вам скажем и покажем”.

Родители и дети встают вокруг учителя по кругу на небольшом расстоянию Играющие договариваются о словах и движениях, которые они будут выполнять. Каждому слову или словосочетанию соответствует какое-либо движение.

Например: Hello!- участники игры приседают.

One- идут по кругу против часовой стрелки.

Two- идут по кругу по часовой стрелке.

Good-bye! - поднимают руки вверх.

Игра “Что изменилось?”

Участники игры садятся в круг. Ведущий выходит из комнаты. В это время игроки меняются местами. Ведущий возвращается, и игроки хором задают вопрос: “Who is out?”

Вернувшийся ведущий должен усадить всех на прежние места.

Teacher: Thank you for your poems and songs, my dear children! I hope that your relatives liked our concert very much. I want you and your mothers be happy and healthy. Good-bye, dear guests and dear children!

Дети под музыку входят в зал.

Педагог: Good morning my dear friends and guests!

Педагог: I am glad to see you! What holiday will be soon? Do you remember?

Дети: The 8 th of March!

Педагог: Good, that’s right. What should we do in this day?

Дети: Kiss mother and grandmother, give presents, sing songs, help about the house, draw picture.

Педагог: Ok, are you ready for these.

Дети: Yes, we are. Дети вместе с педагогом произносят фонетическую разминку.

Педагог: At first do some exercises for our tongue. “Up, down, to the left, to the right, out, in”. “F-F-F- fingers fly like butterfly. D-D-D- draw a picture in the sky.”

Well, Let’s show a fairy-tale.

Под музыку вылетает бабочка и встаёт около картины.

Бабочка: I am Aline-Butterfly. I have a picture. You can see an apple, a banana, grapes, a pear, a lemon, an orange and a plum. But I have got no paints.

Педагог: Maybe your friends have got paints!

Бабочка: Maybe.

Под музыку выпрыгивает лягушка. Бабочка кладёт кисточку и берёт корзинку с фруктами.

Лягушка: I am a frog. I live in the lake.

Бабочка: Hello, frog! What colour have you got?

Под музыку вылетает божья коровка.

– создать условия для практического применения языка вне урока;

– способствовать формированию чувства уважения к женщине-матери.

Оборудование: компьютер, экран, реквизит для сценок, презентации, карточки с утверждениями о матери.
Подготовка детей: перевод сцен из спектакля татарского драматурга Ш.Хусаинова «Белое платье матери» на английский язык; поиск фотографий и подготовка слайд-шоу «Mother`s Features», подготовка сцен, стихов.

Ход мероприятия
На экране заставка с темой творческого вечера.
Teacher. The 8th of March is the International Women’s Day. On this day we congratulate our mothers, grandmothers, sisters. We have one more day when we congratulate our mothers. When does it happen? The last Sunday of November is the Mother’s day in Russia. So we have at least two days a year when you can say kind words or do something good to your mothers.
What words do you associate with the word «mother»? (Беседа сопровождается слайд-шоу «Качество матери».)
Let’s have a look how people in Britain celebrate this day. Some of our students have prepared a dialogue between three people discussing mother’s day. Let’s listen to this dialogue and answer the questions. What things do people buy their mothers in Britain? (Сards and flowers and maybe a little present.) What do children do for their mothers? (Мake things at school.)
Students act out the dialogue.
Student A. Well, you know, years ago
I did what every kid did. I went out and got ripped off by the stationery department buying very expensive cards, and the florist, buying dead flowers. But I’m actually a very new mum myself and I like it .
Student B. If I was a mum, which I’m not yet, but if I was a mum, I would like it as well. My mum is so strange about those kinds of celebrations, she doesn’t like, you know mothers, but she doesn’t like them, she doesn’t encourage sort of, she doesn’t expect anything, she doesn’t really want to…
Student C. Now you see but she might if she… I’m sure. Now you see my mother says ‘I’ve got no time for it at all, it’s American rubbish’, and then, but she’d be furious if there wasn’t a card, if there wasn’t the flowers, there wasn’t the little present, you know, so that’s different, it’s a sort of double standard.
Student A. But it is nice and it’s also nice for the husbands just for a minute to have to go out and buy the card for the child to give the mum to say ‘thank you’.
Student C. I hadn’t thought of it like that, because I haven’t got any kids, but you know…
Student A. Well, it is. And that’s what I’m saying as a new mum. I mean before I was terribly cynical about it, and it is a rip-off, all of these things… yes, yes… are actually kind of rip-offs because we pay more than they are worth. The things that my little girl does, she makes things at playgroup to bring home are much better, I like them.
Teacher. Have a look at children’s pictures and cards to their mothers. Aren’t they lovely?

Teacher. One of our students has prepared a poem about a mother. The author of this poem tells from the side of an imagined child, who has already died. And the words of what child are appealed to his mother.

Чтение «Письма матери», сопровождаемое слайд-шоу. Данное письмо написано слепым человеком. Три или четыре ученика читают письмо наизусть от имени автора, а и их чтение сопровождается слайд-шоу «A letter to a mother». При подготовке и во время творческого вечера следует обратить внимание на эмоциональность прочтения письма с правильной интонацией и смысловыми ударениями. Приложение 2.
